10月9日上午，我校BC国际课程部召开了本学年的家长会。在本次家长会上，家长们不但了解了孩子们的在校情况、今后的升学规划等内容，也和孩子的各科外教老师进行了密切的交流。

On October 9th, the BC program held its annual Parent Open House. Not only did parents get to know more about students’ performance and future plans, they also got a chance to communicate with their BC course teachers.

本次家长会分为三个部分，在报告厅了解课程、升学规划与大学申请等内容，在班级和班主任沟通孩子在校情况等，到外教所在教室和外教沟通孩子学习情况。

The Parent Open House was done in three parts: a discussion of students’ academic performance with BC teachers, communicating with homeroom teachers, and an assembly at which parents learned about courses, post-secondary planning, university applications, etc.

在报告厅的部分，由于年级不同，主讲内容侧重点也不同。在九和十年级的新生家长会上，校长Brett Syer先生和BC国际课程部主任Nina女士首先对BC课程进行了介绍，包括BC课程侧重于综合能力的提升，怎样学好BC课程，如何与老师沟通交流等；随后升学指导老师Ted先生对学生们今后的升学规划做了简要介绍。

During the Grade 9 & 10 parent assembly, BC Principal Brett Syer and Program Director Nina Zhang gave a general introduction to the BC program, including the program’s focus on well-balanced development, ways to maximize student success, and how to contact or communicate with BC teachers. Post-secondary instructor Mr. Ted briefly covered topics related to students’ future plans for university.

在十一和十二年级的家长会上，Ted老师和中方课程组组长Rita老师主要介绍了学生们升学方面的内容，包括毕业要求、毕业与大学申请准备等内容，贴合学生们实际情况。

In the Grade 11&12 assembly, Mr. Ted and Chinese Course Group Leader Rita Peng covered post-secondary content, including graduation, graduation requirements, university applications, etc.

在两场家长会上都穿插了有趣的抽奖小活动，这些小活动是由领导力课程同学准备的，在活跃现场气氛的同时，也展现了我BC国际部学生很强的应变能力和组织能力。

Both assemblies contained fun raffle events prepared by students from Leadership 12. Besides brightening the mood, these activities also displayed BC students’ ability to organize and adapt.

本次家长会还专门开辟了家长和外教直接交流的通道，外教们按照所教学科划分在相应的教室，和前来了解孩子情况的家长沟通，由中方班主任老师和学生代为翻译。

This conference also opened up a channel of direct communication between parents and BC teachers. Classrooms hosted teachers based on department, and parents were able to talk with teachers about student progress and performance. Translation services were provided by student volunteers and homeroom teachers.

相信经过此次家长会，家长们已经了解了孩子的在校情况，在和老师沟通交流后，也对孩子的学习和升学规划等有了一定的认识。希望我们家校继续共同努力，共同促进孩子健康成长，为社会培养栋梁之才！。

Through this meeting, parents have come to a greater understanding of their child’s education, achievements, and future plans. BC Campus wishes that, with the combined efforts of parents and staff, our students continue to grow and thrive.
